I'm thinking of adding solar power to my house, where I can find good advice and products at reasonable prices.?

I am in the southeast, and looking at free installation

Before you do anything, check with local codes to see if it aloud backup battery. I live in the northeast and this part of New York NO. So unless I'm home during the day, solar energy for me would be useless. Once the sun sets, I would be back on the grid. And make sure you have all the right switches to prevent dangerous reverse grid system for traditional power outages. This could be very dangerous for the lineman. These ignition systems of 12 volts, the transformer 120, then the network processor makes it 4160 or 13200, depending on network in your area. So please consult local codes before starting. The battery backup of the clause in this area, I believe, is for discourage people from doing it. So here is plausible only in commercial buildings that are in use during the day.
